For a long time - literally years - I have been fascinated by the Maurice-Boris Paradox. It goes like this:
- Many Americans may be surprised to learn that the name Maurice, when pronounced correctly, rhymes with Boris.
- Likewise, the name Boris, inflected according to its native tongue, is supposed to rhyme with Maurice.
- However, Maurice and Boris do not, by any means, rhyme with each other.
Now you know that much more about what a weird guy I am. Frankly, I'm surprised the above paradox doesn't turn time-space into a round of goat cheese!
