Meet My Family

Those who have read my editorials on MuggleNet may remember Tyrone. Here he is (in dark gray), with his buddy, Lionel. This photo was taken when they were really still kittens, nearly five years ago. I love the fact that they still tolerate my existence.

My cats are sometimes diabolically clever, sometimes as dumb as rocks. They are often tender and affectionate and, just as often, obnoxious little twits. I have heard them talking to each other (just not in a language I know). I have seen them laugh (only not out loud). They pull pranks. They open doors. They defy gravity. They can vanish completely, only to reappear in a surprising way. They make sure I understand what they want, when they want it. They make an awful smelly mess that only I can clean up, but they're worth it.

I have three feline friends that grace our family with their presence. They share many of the same attributes and multi-faceted personalities as your own. I'm just glad they tolerate us and are willing to even share their affection, when they deem us worthy. :)

Amen, RF!! I'm a dog person, but I have a kitty mission--must save FeLeuk and FIV kitties. Our current mission, Jax, emits the most foul odors known to man. But he's devilishy handsome...
