Today's addition to my redneck comedy routine was inspired by a radio commercial I heard on the way home from work. The ad was for a rug-cleaning company, and it included a riff on the idea that only nabobs of olden times could afford to have "family retainers" clean their rugs for them, but anybody can afford to have So-and-So do it today. Instantly, I began channeling the guy pictured here...OLD REDNECK: Where I come from, a "family retainer" was an orthodontic device that got passed down from one siblin' to the next.
