This week's lighted-sign message at the neighborhood ELCA shrine of tackiness:A SHORTCUT IS OFTEN TEMPTATION IN DISGUISE
Maybe that's why I feel such a deep desire to cut across the corner on which this church-sign stands. But I resist, because I like my car and don't want to wreck it, even if it means putting a stop to the tackiness. Besides, the tackiness would soon return anyway.
